Our housesitting hosts from Manique, drove to Cascais to join us for lunch and a little visit. And they very kindly brought Stella’s harness which I left at their house!! It was very fun to meet them in the ultra charming downtown of Cascais and pick an outdoor restaurant together. Dog friendly and super friendly!Continue reading “ANOTHER DAY IN CASCAIS”
We are still at the Casa Vela which is so serene and well-located. We are in the old part of Cascais and we walk around exploring. We discovered Taberna Clandestina nearby and we have been there twice. It is truly magic with a tiny kitchen, warmest staff, and delicious food. Rainy and sunny. The light bouncing around. … Storks clacking. Local markets. We enjoyed a day in town. Walked the dogs, bought some vegetables, and appreciated the day. Truly loving these darling host animals…one dog, one cat… as they have accepted us. Their traveling parents will be back late night tomorrow.

It’s notContinue reading “OCTOPUS FOR LUNCH AND FOOD SHOPPING ADVENTURE”
“Do you speak the language?” people asked us before we left. Well, it’s not just the language… This morning I decided the make some oatmeal and the fun thing is that our housesitting hosts have a pantry full of interesting stuff. The really interesting part is that I don’t know what any of it is.Continue reading “KILOMETERS, KILOS, CELSIUS…”
Today the waves were small, 25 feet, but we will keep watching the weather and go back again to hopefully see the colossal waves.
