LOULE (loolay with an accent) PORTUGAL

THE MARKET PLACE IN LOULE… MOORISH STYLE INSPIRED.
STREETS IN LOULE.. SKINNY STREETS, AND LOTS OF COBBLESTONE

We took to the streets in Loule (loo lay) (it has an accent over the e but I can’t figure out how to do that here! sorry.) yesterday evening and wandered around. Very pretty major downtown with shops and sweet places to eat and drink. It’s very upscale in parts, with luxury items, as well as local wares and all easy walking. There is also a castle right downtown. Of course!!

And then we found the delightful Taberna dos Frades…..

INSIDE TABERNA DOS FRADES…. LOULE PORTUGAL.

We aren’t gin drinkers but Portugal loves gin. Dear friend Kaydian, I was thinking of you. We each had a lovely glass of wine for $2 euros. More on wine later… it seems you can’t get a bad bottle of wine here… our experience and told by others. Still amazed by the quality. And the prices.
